Gucci App for iPhone and iPod Touch
DATE: October 22nd, 2009

Sometimes I feel like having two smartphones, a BlackBerry and an iPhone, just because the iPhone gets all the cool apps but I’ll settle with my iPod Touch to use all the apps instead! Gucci announced today the launch of the Gucci App for iPhone and iPod touch, which is now available from the App Store. The app synthesizes the worlds of fashion, technology and music offering Gucci enthusiasts access to exclusive Gucci products, unique playlists, videos, fashion shows, news, events, latest collections, store listings and the ability to mix their own music. The launch of the Gucci App has been timed to coincide with the itinerant GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY project, a traveling sneaker store that opens on October 24th at 43 Crosby Street in New York.

The Gucci App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod Touch at www.itunes.com/appstore/. Go download!

Jean Paul Gaultier for Target Designer Collaborations
DATE: October 21st, 2009

Photo by Giovanni Giannoni [Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2010]

Last month Jean Paul Gaultier was rumored to be up next to design a Target collection, today WWD confirms the designer will be the third in its series of Designer Collaborations following the successful release of Alexander McQueen and Anna Sui. According to WWD, Jean Paul Gaultier for Target pays tribute to the American woman, celebrating the forces of style both past and present in American pop culture, the retailer said.

Jean Paul Gaultier for Target is slated to release on March 7, 2010 to April 11, 2010 in more than 250 stores nationwide and on target.com. Gaultier’s Designer Collaboration will have a tighter distribution than the last participant, Anna Sui, whose collection was sold in about 600 Target units.

Can’t wait to see what the designs look like, I still want those damn Dr. Martens!

Minx Nails
DATE: August 20th, 2009

Photography: Katy Perry/Twitpic

Loving the Minx Nails nail trend,  designs are unlimited with Minx, it is made of film and not polish so they can be customized with metallics, personalized graphics, and photo-quality designs in flexible nontoxic film form. Minx is applied with heat so there’s no fuss with drying and smudging but the catch is it doesn’t last very long and rips off easily. But Minx definitely makes a statement and great for special events, photoshoots and parties. Pricing for the flower Minx Nails is about $55, it varies. Beyonce, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Blake Lively, Solange, Eve and many other celebs are also fans of Minx Nails. For more info and to find a salon, check out their site.

I’m loving the futuristic and robotic look of the metallic Minx nails, they’re so hot! Also, for cute days the leopard print and flower print is amazing too! I’m dying to try it, have you tried?

More pics after the jump…

Michael Jackson Dead at 50 - R.I.P.
DATE: June 26th, 2009

Today is a sad day, first news was announced that ‘Charlie’s Angel’ Farrah Fawcett died at 62 due to a long battle of anal cancer, R.I.P. Then a more shocking news came in that the legendary King of Pop and style icon, Michael Jackson entered a cardiac arrest and later died at UCLA Medical Center. The cause of death is still unknown, they’ll be performing autopsy tomorrow. He was pronounced dead on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 2:26pm, he was 50.

I’m still in shock, it’s crazy, I grew up listening and watching Michael Jackson, he was a true icon. I’m watching “Remembering Michael Jackson” on CNN now.

Jimmy Choo for H&M
DATE: June 17th, 2009

Photographer: Magnus Magnusson/H&M

H&M never fails to surprise me, news just released that they have tapped Jimmy Choo as the next designer guest collaboration to launch a collection of shoes, bags, accessories for both men and women, and a women’s clothing collection to complement the accessories. This marks the first time that H&M is collaborating with an accessories brand, super exciting! The limited edition collection will be available from November 14, 2009 in around 200 H&M stores across the world. Start saving up!

“We are privileged to be among the fashion greats who have been affiliated with H&M so far, and to be designing a collection appealing to fashion savvy, street smart women, and to be including some great pieces for men, too. Jimmy Choo will bring to H&M a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection - the perfect party pieces to buy now and then wear out that night!” Tamara Mellon, Founder and President, Jimmy Choo.

“We adore Jimmy Choo’s shoes and bags. They are glamorous and sexy, and they add instant style to the simplest of outfits. I like the way we have worked with clothes to accessorize the shoes and bags rather than the other way around. This collaboration is particularly exciting because it’s our first shoe designer collection. It’s a joy to be able to offer top end designer shoes and bags of excellent quality to our customers.” Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor, H&M.

I simply can’t wait!
